GIFT / Mr.Children


ご存知かな。NHKの北京オリンピックテーマソングはミスチル。

「一番きれいな色ってなんだろう？」で始まるこの歌。
PVでは、虹を作る授業のような光景がハイスピードカメラでつなげられている。

色をテーマにしているといえば、「彩り」がまだ記憶に新しい。
でも、この曲は、単なる歌詞だけの意味合いを超えて、
選手や様々な大会の映像に添えられて、
観ている人の中で意味が深まっていくように考えられてるのだろう。

きっとNHKのディレクターさんは、
この曲をフレーズ単位、秒単位で考えて作るんだろうな。

さて、閉会する頃、
この曲はどんな風にきこえるか。

一番きれいな色ってなんだろう？
一番光ってる色ってなんだろう？

この歌はこんな言葉からはじまります。

言うまでもなく、オリンピックにおいて一番きれいで光ってるものは「金メダル」です。でも
僕は「金、銀、銅、」という勝者にのみ与えられる輝きより、
もっと大切で、価値ある輝きが存在していると思っています。
勝利を収められなかった人の中にも、
また勝ち負けのない日常の中で一生懸命暮らしている人の中にも
どんなメダルにも負けない輝きが一人一人にあると思っています。

この歌が、皆さんの中にある輝きを見付けてゆく手助けになったとしたら
そんな幸せな事はありません。
